EDU 355: Reading Assessment and Instruction in the Elementary Education Classroom Goal: To learn, interpret, and apply reading and writing assessment techniques. Content: This course is designed to give the elementary education candidate the necessary tools for administering, scoring, and interpreting informal and formal reading assessments. In addition, this course will help the candidate learn to use the assessment results to make informed decisions about instructional strategies. Field Experience Hours: 20 Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Teacher Education Program; EDU 335 and EDU 345 . Credit: 3 Degree Level: Undergraduate
