EDR 340: Reading Assessment and Instruction in the Elementary Education Classroom Goal: To learn, interpret, and apply reading and writing assessment techniques. Content: This course is designed to give the elementary education candidate the necessary tools for administering, scoring, and interpreting informal and formal reading assessments. In addition, this course will help the candidate learn to use the assessment results to make informed decisions about instructional strategies. Field Experience Hours: 20 Prerequisite(s): EDU 219 and EDR 300 ; Admission to the Teacher Education Program. Credit: 3 Degree Level: Undergraduate
