CLM 401: Senior Seminar in Culture, Literature, and Media Goal: To enable students to complete a significant scholarly or creative project that integrates their knowledge of culture, literature, and media. To encourage independent thought and judgment, critical thinking, and effective communication. To provide an interdisciplinary capstone experience for majors that incorporates experiential learning. Content: This course encourages students to integrate their knowledge of culture, literature, and media as they produce original scholarly and/or creative work from an interdisciplinary perspective. Students will refine their skills for communicating their insights to diverse audiences through in-class readings, discussions, exercises, and workshops. Content may vary from year to year as students design projects that reflect their interests and aspirations. Prerequisite(s): Senior standing and successful completion of CLM 100 , COM 215 , COM 216 , ENG 221 , and one 300-level course in the major, or permission of instructor. Credit: 3 Degree Level: Undergraduate
