CLM 100: Introduction to Culture, Literature, and Media Goal: This course introduces students to the disciplines that make up the Culture, Literature, and Media major. Students will learn to analyze, discuss, and critique practices and texts from various genres and cultures while building skills necessary for forming and supporting original arguments. Content: Students will read and view texts from various literary and media-based genres in order to build foundational skills for the CLM major such as critical thinking, close reading, and rhetorical analysis. Topics discussed may include construction of identities, communities, performances, and cultural power dynamics. Credit: 3 Degree Level: Undergraduate
