EDU 555: Reading Assessment and Instruction in the Elementary Education Classroom


Goal: For current elementary teachers of record to learn, interpret, and apply reading and writing assessment techniques at the graduate level.
Content: This course is designed to give the current elementary teacher of record the necessary tools for administering, scoring, and interpreting informal and formal reading assessments. In addition, this course will help the candidate learn to use the assessment results to make informed decisions about instructional strategies at the graduate level.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to the MAT; EDU 520, EDU 531 , EDU 545
