HPC 250: Methodologies of Investigation


Goal: This course introduces students to fundamental research methodologies spanning the social sciences and humanities. Students will develop critical skills in research design, data collection, analysis, and ethical interpretation of findings. The curriculum emphasizes both traditional scholarly approaches and emerging digital methodologies, including the appropriate and ethical integration of generative AI tools in academic research. Through hands-on projects, students will learn to evaluate sources, construct sound arguments, and effectively communicate their research findings. This foundation in interdisciplinary research methods will prepare students for advanced coursework and independent research projects in their respective fields of study.
