ENG 216: American Identities in Literature

Goal: To familiarize students with the range of American literature as seen through the eyes of the many different peoples who have come together to form this nation.
Content: Writings by important literary figures from America with particular emphasis placed on authors from different cultures, races, genders, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Prerequisite(s): ENG 101 or permission of instructor.
