BUS 329: Training and Development Goal: To help students develop knowledge and skill in the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of organizational training as well as to help students build skills in creating effective performance improvement programs, a vital resource in talent retention that is often overlooked. Content: Instructional System Design (ISD), the ATD Competency Model, key roles for training professionals, strategic training, needs assessment, learning and transfer of training, program design, training evaluation, traditional training methods, technology-based training, development, career management, mentoring, legal issues, managing diversity, career challenges, and the future of training and development.
